March 31 SharathonSpring Sharathon! This weekend Steve is working looooong days at Sharathon at the ministry. We are going to Bath to visit all the festivities today. The girls love going to Daddy's work.
Yesterday we went to a neighbor's house for a playdate. We met like 10 children in our neighborhood! She was a brave mom...but they have a great playset and a great deck in the backyard. She said she's ok with being the neighborhood playground! It is so exciting to actually have neighbors and kids old enough to ask to go out and play with the neighbors. I love being in our neighborhood as opposed to the isolated hill in Campbell. We take walks and see friends along the way. Hannah knows several kids from her school and can walk thru the backyard to like 3 families with kids her age. We are blessed!
Vacation is coming...I am counting the hours. We are going to VA Beach and Williamsburg over Easter break. We haven't taken a vacation away just our family since the summer I was expecting Emily. We can't wait, and we so need to get away and relax on the beach! AHHH!!
I gotta go get lunch for the kiddos and get ready to go to Sharathon. Please be praying for the ministry at this time.
March 11 My little princessMiss Emily is coming into her own as a little girl. Granted, she is following in her big sister's footsteps, but she is becoming more and more of a big kid.
Yesterday we spent the day with our friends the Ernsts and Stacy hadn't seen her in a while. She couldn't believe how she was talking and using the potty. Recently she wants to watch Fairytale Princess Dora the Explorer 24-7!! She asks for it constantly. Everytime at the end of movie where Dora becomes a real princess, Emily starts to shout, "I want to play dress up! I want to play dress up!" and she runs upstairs to change into a princess too. It is adorable!!
My little princess was throwing up most of the night last night, so we are home from church together. Steve had to play drums so he is there for 3 services on 3 hours of sleep. We'll all be sleeping all afternoon today!
Hannah is doing better with her behavior. She really seems to understand right and wrong and WHY she shouldn't speak rudely or disrespectfully or lie. It's just that she doesn't think in the heat of the moment. It's natural and normal at this age, but we're trying to train her up in a way that pleases the Lord.
Last week we were able to travel to Rochester to spend a fun family night. We went to Chuck E. Cheese and then to the theater to see "Flushed Away." We had a great time! This week we took Hannan to see our local high school's production of "Grease." Hannah lasted until halfway through ACT II then she was alseep. It was nice snuggle time!
I spent most of the weekend writing a worship song. This is not something I usually do, but I woke up early Friday morning thinking about some words and rhythm and couldn't go back to sleep. I worked on it most of the day Friday and late last night and I think I finally finished it. We'll see if Vaughn thinks it's good enough to use at church. I'm so excited!!
Hope you all have a great weekend!! March 01 Emily's First Gymnastics ClassToday I took Emily to her first gymnastics class at the Y. It was adorable!! She was timid at first, but the first time she did a forward roll, she was off and running!! Her teachers we amazed that she can do forward rolls, jump from one obstacle to another, and walk foot over foot on a balance beam by herself...and so was I. I was really proud of her and I see that she will really do well with this.
Hannah has been telling lies this week. I don't know why or where this came from but all of a sudden she's using that option to get out of things...or get out of telling me things! I can see right through her, but still it's awful to have your kid lying to your face. We are praying about her behavior and nighttime and she has been truly repentent.
Steve and I are trying to see where God is taking us in our finances. We feel the need to buy health insurance, we are planning an upcoming vacation, and we want to give extra to church for missions and a new building project. We are on the verge of something...don't know what. Please pray with is for wisdom and obedience.
Here are pictures from gymnastics this morning. Soooooooo cute!!! :)
