9月16日 Answered Prayer in HIS TimeIn HIS time He answers our prayers because HE is in control, not us.
Back in January we put our NY house on the market knowing we were being called to Pinebrook in PA. We moved in March with the realization that we were cutting our income by about half and STILL having to pay mortgage, home insurance, and taxes on the NY house which was not budging. Not only did we have no offers or bites even, but no one who came to see it even liked it. We got nothing but negative feedback. Considering we liked the house and I took extremely good care of it...it was hard not to take it personally.
Then we had a conversation with old friends of ours that they would be interested in buying it from us directly. IN HIS TIMING our contract was almost up with the realtor and then we wouldn't have to pay the fees to her. IN HIS TIMING the family started the work that needed to be done on their house so they could put it on the market. IN HIS TIMING they had over 12 showings in the first week. IN HIS TIMING they just accepted a purchase offer and we are now talking about the details of selling our house to them!
God has provided for us along the way. We did not go into debt. We have paid all of our bills and even were able to save some. We have had some faithful supporters that we are grateful for. And finally we can talk about life in a few weeks where we are fully transitioned and have money left over each month to build a nest egg and plan a vacation or two we've been hoping for YEARS that we'd be able to take.
Thanks for all of your prayers and support. We ask that you'd continue to pray us through this and that we'd be faithful to our calling. Some days we still aren't sure what it is completely...God only reveals so much at a time. But we continue to trust IN HIS TIMING.
